Chiropractic Can Help Patients Who Have Had Failed Back Surgeries

I was recently asked if we can treat people who have had neck or back surgery, the answer is YES!!!!! Over the years I have treated many failed surgeries. They range from the laminectomy to typical fusions to atypical fusions including stabilization rods, thoracic cage surgeries etc. As with every condition and patient, these are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.Patients who have experienced the failed back surgery syndrome- diagnosis code 722.83 are often very reluctant to have any type of treatment done to the area. I can only imagine the amount of pain they are in and fully understand. Normally we use a very gentle technique and try to balance the area and the associated areas. Sometimes a reduction in symptoms is our best case scenario, but often we can restore a normal lifestyle.Recently we have added a new laser to treat these types of conditions. By stimulating acupuncture points with the laser we are seeing some amazing results. As with any and all patients, I cannot promise results but I promise to give you the best care I can.
