My Story. . .
I was inspired at an early age to pursue chiropractic after witnessing my mother’s remarkable recovery from ongoing pain by way of chiropractic care. After experiencing such success with her own health, my mother started her kids out with their own chiropractic treatment, and that is where my passion for chiropractic care began. I want to be able to help the community by providing this same drug-free, non- invasive solution to treat the conditions that keep a person from getting up and doing what they want to do, when they want to do it, every day! And I am so excited to provide that caliber of care as an Associate Chiropractic Physician at Homberg Chiropractic!
I specialize in Activator Technique with a heavy focus on upper and lower extremities and a concentration on the upper cervical region. I have treated patients from all ages and professions with a wide variety of conditions ranging from neck and back pain to vertigo, and sinus congestion. During my time in practice, I have discovered that I am especially passionate towards treating moms and matrons of the family. Observing the strength and love of my own single mother while she raised me puts that group of ladies in a very special place in my heart and I want to be able to take care of the ones who take care of everyone else. I also gravitate toward young adults and athletes due to my huge spirit for mentoring and coaching, as well as from my own previous experiences as a student-athlete. During your treatment with me you can expect to work on strengthening your body with functional exercises and strategies that are meant to help supplement care and improve your overall health.
I previously practiced in the Sanford, NC area for 4 years providing treatment and care to that community. I was born and raised in Apex, NC, and graduated from Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School where I proudly represented the Bulldogs as a softball student-athlete. I then obtained my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Winston Salem State University where I was also a softball student-athlete. Following that, I gained my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC. I am a member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association and the American Black Chiropractic Association.
I recently moved to West Knoxville with my Husband Travis and our twin toddlers, Casion and Sania. You can often find my family strolling around the local beautiful parks and trails, food truck parks, and various other downtown Knoxville events throughout the year. In my spare time I am a facilitator of a STEM program called ShepherdsSTEAM of NC where I guide students in sports by way of coaching softball for the fast pitch travel team as well as coaching for the robotics program. You can also find me on the University of Tennessee campus supporting the Volunteers for sporting events all year round!
