Have you ever noticed the tagline for Homberg Chiropractic and Wellness? It’s Restoring Your Body to the Way Nature Intended. We treat everything from back and neck pain, to headaches, sinuses issues and general pain. But what it all comes down to is restoring your body to the way nature intended. Our brains and spinal cord are made of billions of nerve cells. These cells form a cord of nerve fibers that are protected by the vertebrae of the spinal column. From your spinal column the cord branches into many smaller nerves that lead to other places within your body. Nature intends this to be your central nervous system. As well as controlling and coordinating the functions of the body, the central nervous system allows us to live in our environments by adapting to the stimuli that surrounds us every day. In order to live healthy lives, to be healthy, it is imperative to ensure the nervous system functions properly and free of subluxations.A subluxation takes place when a vertebrae moves out of position and causes an irritation on spinal nerves. These nerves, which protrude from between the bones of the spine, then malfunction and cause interference with the signals that travel them. A subluxation is related to every day wear and tear on our bodies caused by bad posture, workspace habits (slumping in a chair) and acute trauma. They can also be related to chemicals and toxins in our body from our environments, the food we eat or from drugs and alcohol. When subluxations are left untreated, the body reacts by performing poorly on every level. The immune system weakens, strength and coordination are negatively affected, and organs may cease to function normally. There can be an increase in pain levels and pain consistency as well as stiffness and fatigue. As if the physical symptoms weren’t enough, there could also be major affects to stress and our state of mind.People who keep their nervous system as close to the way nature intended with regular chiropractic adjustments report having more energy, better recovery from injuries and an improved state of mind.
